Meet the Editor Behind Folio Freelance

Hi, I’m Britt. I created Folio Freelance so that I could do what I love—editing.

As it happens, I’d been editing for years before I started Folio Freelance, admittedly

without realising it. Granted, I was editing my friends’ essays, emails and job applications,

but that didn’t make them any less important. I would comb through their words over and over to

make sure that what they ended up with was the best possible version of their writing. In April 2020, a friend of mine was struggling to find an editor to get her novel ready for publication. The good friend that I am, I offered to do it for her for a fraction of the price (after I had edited her novel out of pure enthusiasm in the beta stage.) My main goal was to get some hands-on experience in editing fiction like I had been dreaming of doing for years.

In May 2020, I created Folio Freelance and I haven’t looked back since.
